Jaguar Landrover Press Centre
The Jaguar Landrover Press Centre was a large project I undertook at Wunderman Interactive. I was responsible for the whole Front End build, with responsibilities ranging from code quality to page speed and optimising user experience.
Built on the Umbraco Content Management System, the Front End remained rather platform agnostic. Utilising a variety of modern frameworks both Javascript and CSS, the site demonstrates the cutting edge of HTML5 and CSS3 today.
The jQuery framework was the foundation to bringing the user experience one step up, with the creation of an asynchronous cross-platform page loading mechanism and a hardware optimised animation engine which extended jQuery's native functionality.
Furthermore, Modernizr was used to ensure graceful degradation across the spectrum of browser support which ranged from IE6 all the way to the latest builds of Chrome and Firefox.
